Information we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect:
- Your name.
- The email address or phone number you provide.
- Your message and the project details you choose to include.
- The submission time, enquiry reference, form source and notification status.
For spam protection, the site also stores a hashed network or sign-in identifier with a short-lived submission count. Our hosting provider may process technical connection information, such as IP address and request logs, to operate and secure the website.
Please do not include passwords, payment details, health records or other sensitive information in your enquiry.
Why we use it
We use your enquiry information to respond to you, understand your requirements, prepare a proposal and keep track of our conversation. We use technical information to prevent repeated submissions, protect the service and investigate problems.
We do not sell your enquiry details or use them for advertising. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list.
Optional behavioural analytics
If you choose “Allow analytics”, we measure page and screen views, sections reached, scroll depth, service and preview selections, contact clicks, and whether an enquiry is started, attempted, saved or encounters an error. We use these patterns to improve the website and understand which services interest visitors.
Each event contains a random visit identifier, a predefined action and page label, a phone or desktop/tablet layout category, and the time received. The visit identifier is stored in this tab’s session storage and renews after 30 minutes of inactivity. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, typed form content, full URLs, screen recordings or advertising identifiers through analytics. A rotating, hashed network identifier is used only to limit abuse.
Analytics stay off until you allow them. Your allow or decline choice is stored in your browser for 180 days. You can at any time; turning analytics off stops future collection and removes this tab’s visit identifier. It does not automatically remove events already received. Browser Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals also keep optional analytics off.
Analytics are processed with our website hosting and database providers and are shown only in our private administrator dashboard. They use a 90-day reporting window; expired events are removed during subsequent analytics collection or dashboard activity. No separate advertising or session replay service receives these events.
Storage and service providers
Enquiries submitted through this form are sent to hello@whycodelabs.com through Zoho Mail and are kept as email in our mailbox. Our website hosting provider processes the request and the technical information needed to deliver and secure the service.
When we handle your enquiry by email, Zoho Mail processes the information included in those emails. We may share information where required by law or where necessary to protect the service. Service providers may process information in locations outside your country.
How long information stays
Enquiry emails remain in our mailbox unless deleted by an authorised Whycode administrator. Hosting security logs may have separate retention periods. You can ask us to delete your enquiry using the contact details below.
We may need to retain limited information for an active project, legal obligations or resolving a dispute. If this affects your request, we will explain why.
Your choices and requests
You can ask to access or correct your enquiry information, request deletion, withdraw your permission for further enquiry follow-up, or raise a privacy concern. Email hello@whycodelabs.com with your enquiry reference, if you have one.
We may ask you to confirm control of the contact address or number used for the enquiry before sharing or changing its details. Withdrawing permission will not undo processing already completed.
Keeping information safe
We restrict access to enquiry emails to authorised Whycode staff and use our mail provider's account access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe information has been exposed or misused, please contact us so we can investigate.
